Tips for Selling Items

We want your selling experience at Sweet Repeats to be a pleasant one. Here are some tips to help you prepare your items for sale. Please keep in mind that we have hundreds of customers and following these tips will help make it quicker and easier for everyone. It also ensures you get the highest possible offer for the merchandise you want to sell.

·        Clothing and linens must be freshly laundered and odor free. (Items that smell like smoke will not be considered for purchase.)

·        Lay your clothing items flat not folded if you are bringing them in a tote or basket. (Items unsorted in garbage bags will not be accepted.)

·        Match all outfits with the pieces that belong to it. If there is more than one piece make sure they are together. (We may pass up an item not knowing it belongs to a set, resulting in few items purchased and less money for you.)

·        We only buy seasonal clothing items. Be sure you know what season we are looking for at the time you want to sell.

·        Clothing items must be stain free, no fading, pilling or other signs of excessive wear. (We don’t buy everything from anyone so please be selective in the items you bring in.)

·      Toys and equipment need to be clean and have all the pieces. (Batteries are required for walk in items.)

·        Remove and wash car seat covers and straps. (Line dry covers! Covers placed in the dryer may shrink or become damaged.)

·        Items stored in containers need to be reviewed before drop offs. Stains may resurface after long periods of storage.

·        Our selections are based on current styles. Generally, clothing over 4yrs old is less likely to be selected. (You may regret hanging on to clothing too long; it loses value with each passing year.)

·        Based on consumer product safety guidelines, we only purchase car seats less than 5 yrs. Old. For the safety of other children, please don’t bring in car seats that have been involved in accidents.

·        Thoroughly clean high chairs! They need to be cleaned from top to bottom and underneath. Please remember to bring in the straps and covers after they have been washed.
