Our History
Our first Sweet
Repeats Kids Resale store opened May of 1992, in a converted gas
station in Converse TX.
The inspiration for our little store, were a
couple of good friends who married young and started their families
while they were still struggling college students. With money tight,
being penny wise was an absolute necessity.
After picking up a few items from a neighborhood garage sale,
I realized that almost everyone has kids at some point in their
lives and, that babies grow quickly! Many items are barley used and
some are never used at all!
I thought, wouldn’t it be great if there were a store where
moms and dads could buy gently used baby clothing and equipment at
reasonable prices?
And, so began our
journey. With many prayers, and much help from family and friends
along the way (thanks to all of you) we are still going strong
today. Now located in the Nacogdoches Crossing Shopping Center at
1604 next to the Wal-Mart, Sweet Repeats has become a store our
customers rely on to provide quality children’s clothing and
equipment for their families. Many customers, who shopped with us in
our first little store for their kids, now shop with us for their
grandkids! Through our
business, we have forged many friendships along the way. What a joy
to know these customers continue to place their trust in us for
their families resale needs.
Although we have
expanded our store and carry some carefully selected items like hair
bows, Moby Wraps, potty training supplies and cloth diapers, our
basic principal is the same. We offer families an opportunity to
buy, sell and trade their gently used clothing, toys, furniture and
equipment. Thus, allowing parents and grandparents the ability to
get the best value for the kids they love. As a mother myself, I
have really learned to appreciate a good deal.
In a time where it’s
more fashionable to be thrifty, then ever before, we appreciate you
choosing Sweet Repeats for your families resale needs!
